From a tiny grain of rice… to the rice paper in your hands
Some things are so familiar, but only when children see them with their own eyes and try them with their own hands do they truly understand the journey behind them.During their trip to the rice paper village, our Little 2 students got to see every single step of the process—from grinding the rice into flour and pouring the batter to sun-drying, peeling, and finally packing the sheets into bags.
They didn’t just stand and watch, they jumped right in! Those tiny hands carefully spread each layer of batter, waited excitedly for them to dry, and were so proud to finish their very own rice paper.
Through these hands-on experiences, the children didn’t just learn about a traditional craft. They also learned about patience, being careful, and the hard work behind the everyday things they see at home.
