Outdoor Activity – Getting Closer to Nature
In our “Getting Closer to Nature” outdoor class, the Pre-HighScope children enjoyed a joyful and exciting morning! Together, they walked around the school yard, visited flower beds and bushes, and listened as teachers introduced the names and special features of each plant and flower.
More than just observing, the children also collected little “nature treasures” like fallen flowers, green leaves, small pebbles, and broken twigs to use in a creative activity. With their clever hands and vivid imagination, each child made their own beautiful nature crown—decorated with fresh leaves and colorful flowers.
This activity helped the children develop observation skills, practice sorting, and most importantly, nurture a love for nature through the simplest things. A truly inspiring morning full of joy and meaningful discoveries!
